Join guest instructor Stephanie Landau, M.S. and Sharon Audubon Center for a midday immersion in nature with a Mindful Outdoor Experience and natural history exploration. We will deepen our engagement with the earth as we saunter on the Sharon Audubon Center trails expanding our awareness through all of our senses, mindfully stepping into fall and embracing this season of change, harvest, and gratitude. Experience a range of nature connection practices including simple warm-up movements, guided breathing and centering awareness, expressing gratitude, mindful walking with sensory activities, and a nature meditation/sit spot. We'll provide materials and prompts for a nature journaling activity to bridge your mindful outdoor experience with environmental education (we will provide materials for nature journaling).
What to Bring: layered clothing, sturdy shoes, small towel or mat to sit on, and water

About the Instructor: Stephanie Landau, M.S. is a 200-hour certified yoga instructor and a Level 1 Mindful Outdoor Guide through the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health. Her career has spanned the nonprofit and corporate world with a focus on well-being. She is a lifelong nature adventurer and has been practicing yoga and mindfulness for over 20 years. Stephanie’s passion is to infuse nature and mindfulness into daily living through her yoga, sit spot, and nature journaling practices and by offering outdoor experiences on the water and on the land. Stephanie is a resident of northern New Jersey and Northwest Connecticut where you can find her practicing yoga and paddleboarding on serene lakes as an instructor with Soulful SUP & Yoga and meandering on wooded trails where she guides and teaches.

Sharon Audubon Center is an engaging nature education center with a critical Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic located in Sharon, Connecticut. We are part of the Audubon Connecticut state office of the National Audubon Society and the Atlantic Flyway, and steward a total of four Audubon nature sanctuaries and more than 2,100 acres of primarily woodland habitat in Northwestern Connecticut.
