Audubon Summer Camps Cancelled
Dear Friend of Audubon,
We greatly appreciate your interest in our Audubon Summer Camp programs at our three Connecticut centers: Bent of the River Audubon Center, Greenwich Audubon Center, and Sharon Audubon Center. Unfortunately, Audubon has decided to cancel all summer camp programming at centers across the country in order to keep our campers, volunteers, and staff safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you for your care and commitment as we work together to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community.
This is a difficult decision for all of us—summer camp is our favorite time of year, too. Know that we look forward to sharing the joy of birds with your family at our centers as soon as it is safe to do so. In the meantime, you are welcome to walk our trails at Bent of the River and Sharon Audubon Center (all Greenwich Audubon Center and sanctuary trails are closed) and to connect with nature online.
We Are Here for You (Virtually)
We know our campers will need our support more than ever this summer. We invite you to explore the Audubon online resources available to help you and the children you care for continue to find awe and inspiration in nature together, indoors.
Explore Audubon for Kids—an online space available in English and Spanish that provides new, fun activities each week, including nature activities, games, quizzes, DIY projects, and more.
Enjoy Audubon Virtual Events and Experiences! Audubon is hosting interactive web-based educational programs for kids and kids at heart. Bookmark the Audubon Connecticut Events calendar, so you can plan to join us in advance and please share widely with family and friends. Also, visit Audubon Live! and enjoy streaming video from live bird nest cams in Connecticut.
If you have any center-specific questions with regards to the 2020 Audubon Summer Camp cancellations, please do not hesitate to email the center at the following email address.
