Whitby School

Greenwich, Connecticut

Participating in Schoolyard Habitat Programs Since: 2016

Utilizing Their Schoolyard: One of the components of the Schoolyard Habitat Program is an after-school program led by Audubon educators. The objective is to engage students through activities that identify plant, animal, and habitat relationships right in the schoolyard. At Whitby School, students participate in looking under logs and leaves for insects, studying birds through binoculars, and more! Whitby students also create signage to protect Connecticut’s beach-nesting birds (example below).
