Participating Schools

Audubon—together with various partners—works with schools across Connecticut in a variety of ways. We guide interested schools through the process of becoming a U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service certified schoolyard habitat. We offer professional development to classroom teachers, educators, parents, habitat teams, and community members around integrating place-based environmental education into the school curriculum. We offer a variety of programs for students such as in-class visits and after-school programming that focuses on engaging students with nature right in their own schoolyard. We would love to hear from you if you are interested in getting started!
